 The original song was a straight pop track from Sakai’s debut album, It Ain’t No Miracle. We received the acappella tracks from the label and just proceeded to write all new backing music from there. Everything was edited and mixed on a Pro Tools TDM system but many of the loop elements where created in Cubase VST/24. We used sounds from TC|Works' Mercury 1 and Native Instruments' Pro 52, however the Virus TDM synth is a big part of the track's sound.

Most of the composing for this remix was done in Logic Audio Platinum using several virtual synths including Emagic’s ESX24, Steinberg’s Waldorf Attack and Model E. But before starting to write, I bumped up the tempo of the lead vocal and bass tracks in Pro Tools. Then I flew these tracks into Logic as the main reference tracks.
